Dr. Sunil Kavathe founded Shobha Hospital in Ambernath in 1985. A general and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgeon, Dr. Kavathe treats digestive and colorectal conditions such as piles, fissure, fistula, gallstones and hernia, and performs endoscopy and colonoscopy.
- Performed Ambernath’s first laparoscopic cholecystectomy (keyhole gallbladder removal) in 1992
